Time Zone and International Support
Calendar
The calendar is initially displayed in the local time where you are currently located. However, you can select the time zone you wish to display your calendar in using the drop down in the upper-right corner of the calendar.
Note: Clearing web browser cache will reset the selected time zone back to the local time zone.
Also, when you're adding a new appointment, the appointment time you assign can be associated with a specific time zone by using the drop down on the popup. When the appointment has been added, it will be displayed in the calendar's selected time zone (upper-right corner of the calendar).
Account Settings
Sessions Health supports time zones at the account's service location level and at the client level. Each service location may be assigned a time zone. Appointment reminders will be sent out based upon the service location's time zone unless the client is assigned a different time zone.
Client Settings
At the client level, you may change the time zone by going to Clients > [Client Name] > Details. Edit the Contact Information to change the time zone for a client. By doing this, appointment reminders will be sent to clients using their own time zone instead of the practice location time zone. Any client that isn't assigned a time zone will default to the time zone of the service location selected for the appointment.
International
Addresses and Phone Numbers
Sessions Health does support international addresses and phone numbers.
For international clients, we have an option to turn on international attributes, however, it works if a client has both an international address and phone number for that country. If a client has a US address, we don't have the ability to use an international phone number.
Please contact support@sessionshealth.com to turn on International support for your account.
Compliance
We are also HIPAA-compliant and GDPR-compliant. We can't guarantee we are compliant with local regulations in other countries that may be more restrictive or different than those. However, if HIPAA and GDPR cover your local needs, then we are compatible.
Currencies and Credit Cards
We use Stripe for processing credit cards. They handle most credit cards and currencies, however, our application only supports US Dollars (USD) currency transactions.
FAQ
I work in multiple time zones. It appears there is only one time zone as I am not finding a way to change it.
You may set your time zone under Account Settings > Business Information.
Do you support clinicians and clients being in different Time Zones?
Yes, we support clinicians and clients in different time zones. Each client may have their time zone set so that appointment reminders go out in the client's time zone.
When a patient receives a text reminder, what time zone does it tell them the session is in?
You may set a client's time from Clients > [Client Name] > Details. The timezone that is set will be the time zone used for appointment reminders
