Practitioner Color Bars
Each practitioner’s appointments display a colored bar on the left side of the appointment block. Your own appointments always appear with a light blue bar, and other practitioners are automatically assigned different colors so you can quickly see who an appointment is assigned to.

Color‑Coding by Service Type
You can set default colors for each service type so appointments automatically appear in those colors. This is useful for visually separating different types of sessions or billing codes.
To set a default color for a service:
- Go to Billing Settings > Services.
- Select the three‑dot menu next to the service you want to edit.
- Choose Edit.
- Select a color from the available palette.
- Select Save.
New appointments using that service will now appear in the chosen color.

🌈 There are twelve colors, each with light, medium, and dark options. The system automatically adjusts text color for visibility, switching between white and black depending on your selection.
Color‑Coding Individual Appointments
You can assign a custom color to any appointment, overriding the default service color.
To set a color on an appointment:
- Open the appointment or create a new one from the calendar.
- Select the color icon.
- Choose your preferred color.
- Select Save.
A custom appointment color always overrides the default color set for the service.

🔃 If the appointment is part of a recurring series, the color will carry forward to future sessions.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I color‑code non‑client events like meetings or admin time?
Yes. You can create a custom service (for example, “Meeting” or “Admin Time”) and assign it a distinct color. This helps separate internal events from client sessions.
Will changing a service color update existing appointments?
No. Color changes apply only to new appointments created after the update.
Can I change the practitioner color bar?
No. Practitioner colors are automatically assigned and are not editable.
